I was looking for a lightweight, easy dry short that wasn't gym shorts. They stretched nicely to move with me. They look well enough with several people telling me they look nothing like gym shorts or swim trunks. Even better they offered these with different rises.are plenty cool on the unseasonably warm day today, and the pockets were more than deep enough for my EDC stuff. I even had enough room to clip my everyday carry pocket knife. The zip closed cargo pocket is a nice touch, even better it doesn't look like a traditional cargo pocket which is now pretty badly out of style. Though I really wish there was one on both thighs. The fact there is only one is gonna limit the utility of these shorts for more than urban adventures.The fabric is a bit light and thin, which makes these cool, so I wouldn't advise using these for any kind of heavy work situations.
